For the past several days, Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 was listed as unavailable at Amazon.com except through third-party sellers. As I noted a few days ago, there’s no logical explanation for this sort of issue, because the book should be continuously available from the print-on-demand printing company. Anyway, the situation has resolved itself, and the book can again be ordered directly from Amazon, so purchasers can take advantage of Amazon Prime shipping. The book is being offered at a small discount, with a price of $23.30.

For some unexplained reason, Amazon.com today showed Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 as being out of stock, except for sales by third-party sellers. I had some copies for sale there, but they sold out. I plan to put some more copies up for sale later this week, under my Amazon seller name of White Knight Press.
I don’t know of any reason why Amazon should have run out of copies to be sold directly from Amazon, because the books are printed by a print-on-demand company and should be available to Amazon at any time. This sometimes happens, though. Usually the situation clears up within a few days, but it’s hard to predict.
For now, if you need a copy of the paperback book, I have a good number of copies available here at White Knight Press. You can order one directly for $24.95 plus $4.95 for shipping by clicking the button below. Also, as noted above, I will soon be re-listing the book for sale at Amazon, under the New listings by third-party sellers.
You can see more information about the book at its main page on this site.
As of today, Photographer’s Guide to the Leica D-Lux 6 is available in downloadable formats for the Kindle (.mobi file) and iPad (.epub file). The ePub version also can be read on the Barnes & Noble Nook reader, the Sony reader, and other devices. These two versions are bundled at no extra charge with the purchase of the PDF version through the White Knight Press web site for $9.95. For more information, please see the book’s main information page at this site.
Today, despite the snow storm here and in surrounding areas, the proof copy of Photographer’s Guide to the Leica D-Lux 6 was delivered on schedule. The print-on-demand company that produces the paperback versions of my books has done an excellent job again — the proof copy of the book looks very good. I approved the proof, which means the printing company will make the book available for sale at Amazon.com in the near future. I’m including images below showing the book both closed and open.
The paperback version of the book, which is 423 pages long, contains the same text and images as the PDF version, which has been on sale through this site for a few days. You can see more details at the information page for the book on this site.
The paperback Leica D-Lux 6 guide will be available from Amazon.com for $24.95 within the next few days. I will post information about its availability as soon as Amazon sets up a product page for the book.
The newest camera guide book from White Knight Press, Photographer’s Guide to the Leica D-Lux 6, has just been released in a downloadable PDF version. This book is similar to the recently released guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX7 because the two cameras are almost identical in operation. However, because the two cameras have some differences, particularly in the appearances of their menu screens and their control buttons, the new book contains almost entirely new photographs and illustrations, to provide a completely customized guide to the Leica camera model.
The book has 423 pages and contains about 400 images, including screen shots and examples of photographs taken by the Leica D-Lux 6. It includes information about all operations, features, and controls of the camera. It has three appendices, including details about accessories for the camera, a section of Quick Tips on how to use the camera effectively, and a list of web sites and other useful resources for further information.
The book can be downloaded now for $9.95 through this web site. For more information, please see the book’s information page at this site.
