Canon PowerShot Book is Starting to Be Fully Available

The newest White Knight Press camera guide, Photographer’s Guide to the Canon PowerShot S95, is now available through Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, though at the U.K. site it is listed as shipping within 1 to 2 months. That seems like quite a long time for a book that is printed on demand in the U.S., and is supposed to be printed on the demand in the U.K. also, but I have never fully understood the interaction between the printing company (Lightning Source) and the Amazon sites. Eventually, the book should start to ship within 1 or 2 weeks in the U.K., and then, like the earlier books, it should actually be kept in stock so it can ship overnight.

The book is doing quite well on Amazon.com in the U.S., with a sales rank that has recently started going down into the 4-digit range, which means fairly strong sales for a book of this type. Of course, the sales rank will fluctuate up and down; Amazon updates the sales rank once per hour, and it will probably vary fairly widely.

The PDF version of the book, available only through this site, is doing moderately well; the PDF is a good option for buyers in other countries who may not want to pay for international shipping.

Within a week or two, I hope to have the PowerShot S95 book available for the Kindle and in eBook format for the iBooks store, so people can load a version directly onto their iPads. (Of course, you can also load the PDF version onto an iPad, and it looks quite good in that format.) Please watch this site for further developments.
