If you have visited this site recently, you know I have been having problems with the availability at Amazon.com of the paperback version of Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 II. For some reason, Amazon started listing the book as unavailable except from third-party sellers, even though they should have a steady supply available from the print-on-demand company that prints them. I am still working to get that issue resolved. In the meantime, today I received a good shipment of books from the printer myself, and they are available for sale at the list price of $25.95 through Amazon.com, under my seller name of White Knight Press. I process and ship orders very quickly; orders received by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time will ship the same day. I hope Amazon will soon show the book as available for direct shipment from Amazon, but until that happens I plan to keep this book in stock myself as much as possible.
A few days ago I noted here that my newest book, Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 II, was having availability problems at Amazon.com, and that the paperback version was listed there as available only through third-party sellers. The problem appeared to be solved earlier today when I first wrote this post, and the paperback version book was briefly listed as available again directly from Amazon for $25.95. Not long after that, though, the book went back to being available only from third-party sellers. I hope to have some books available to ship myself within a few days. Until then, I will keep monitoring to see when Amazon finally gets the availability straightened out.
The paperback book also is available from Barnes & Noble and other online sellers, and in downloadable versions through this site and elsewhere. For details, please see the book’s main product page at this site.
As of today, the paperback version of Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 II is listed for sale at Amazon.com. If you would like to visit the book’s product page at Amazon, you can click on this link to the page, or you can click on the button below, which also will take you to that page. The list price of the book is $25.95, but Amazon may offer it at a slight discount from time to time.
The book also will be available in three downloadable formats: PDF, mobi (for Kindle), and ePub (for iPad and other Apple devices, as well as Sony, Kobo, and other compatible e-readers). Those versions are still being developed; if you order them now, they will be sent to you as soon as they are ready, probably about October 23. For more information about purchasing those versions of the book, please visit the book’s information page at this site.
In addition, you can order the book directly from White Knight Press through my eBay store. Here is a link to the book’s page on eBay. I will be receiving my shipment of books within about a week, and any books ordered on eBay will be shipped as soon as I receive them.
As of today, Photographer’s Guide to the Canon PowerShot S110, a full-color, 411-page guide to the operation of the PowerShot S110 camera, is available for ordering from Amazon.com. The PowerShot S110 book also is available in downloadable formats through this site. For more information, please see the book’s main information page.
For the past several days, Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 was listed as unavailable at Amazon.com except through third-party sellers. As I noted a few days ago, there’s no logical explanation for this sort of issue, because the book should be continuously available from the print-on-demand printing company. Anyway, the situation has resolved itself, and the book can again be ordered directly from Amazon, so purchasers can take advantage of Amazon Prime shipping. The book is being offered at a small discount, with a price of $23.30.

If you would like to purchase the electronic versions of the book (PDF, Kindle, and ePub), you can get more information at the book’s main information page on this site.
As of February 3, 2013, Photographer’s Guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX7 is available for ordering through Amazon.com for $24.95 per copy. As of today, there is an ordering link at the page on Amazon, though the book is listed as temporarily out of stock. This is the normal situation for a new book. Once people start to order the book, Amazon will start to carry it in stock. In the meantime, orders will not ship immediately; it may take a week or more for a book to arrive if ordered today, but the shipment time will soon improve as orders come in.

Also, you can just search for the book by its title or a part of the title at Amazon.
The paperback version of the book is 5.5 by 8.5 inches (140 by 216 mm) in size and is 424 pages long, with approximately 400 photographs or illustrations, most of them in full color.
The book is also available for download as a PDF file through this site; please see the book’s main page at this site for more information.
Electronic editions for the Kindle, Nook, iPad, and compatible e-readers are expected to be available later in February.
As of today, Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 is being sold by Barnes & Noble online, at its bn.com site, for $23.30, a discount of about 6 % off of the normal list price of $24.95. There’s no way to tell how long this price will be available, but the book had not been discounted before, so it may be worth checking out if you are interested in the paperback version of the book, especially given the availability problems at Amazon.com, which I mentioned in an earlier post.
I should also mention that today my shipment of books arrived at Amazon for sale through Amazon Marketplace with Fulfillment by Amazon, meaning the books are in the Amazon warehouse and can be shipped quickly, with Amazon Prime shipping for those purchasers who have Prime memberships. I’m still hoping that Amazon will soon start selling the books directly on its own, but the supply and availability problems are still being investigated.
As of today, Photographer’s Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 is listed as “In Stock” at Amazon.com, and is available for quick shipment. As I write this, Amazon says it actually has 18 copies in stock. Before today, the book was often listed as “Temporarily Out of Stock” or “Usually Ships Within 5 to 8 Weeks,” so this is a big improvement in the book’s availability.
Of course, because of Amazon’s complicated ordering and restocking system for this sort of book (print-on-demand), the Sony RX100 book very well may be listed as Out of Stock again before too long. In order to avoid having the book unavailable for any long period, I have shipped a supply of books to Amazon myself, to be sold through Amazon Marketplace (in the “New” listings under the main listing). Those books should show up on the Amazon site by the end of this week under the White Knight Press seller name, and will have the notation “Fulfilled by Amazon,” meaning the books will ship from an Amazon warehouse, so they will qualify for Prime shipping and other quick shipping methods.
