I just wanted to post a quick note to update the status of the newest camera guide book, Photographer’s Guide to the Fujifilm X10. The PDF version was published two days ago, and the paperback version will be coming fairly soon. Today I learned that the two PDF files that went to the printer, for the interior text and the cover, have both passed their technical tests, so the next step is for the printer to produce a proof copy of the book. If all goes according to schedule, I should have the proof by Friday, April 13, or maybe Monday the 16th. If it looks okay, I will approve it and then the book will start becoming available for order at Amazon.com and on other online sites within a few days after that. I will post updates here periodically.
Also, today I made the final arrangements to have this book converted to the e-book formats for the Kindle, Nook, and iPad. The company that does those conversions is estimating completion by April 26. So, again if all goes as planned, the book should be available for Kindle and Nook by the end of April. The version for the Apple iBooks store usually takes a little longer to show up for sale after I submit it, so I’m expecting that version to become available by early May.
