Photographer’s Guide to the Panasonic Lumix LX3: Getting the Most from Panasonic’s Versatile Digital Camera, was published in July 2010. The book is a trade-sized paperback, 232 pages long, with more than 100 color photographs and illustrations. The book provides clear, step-by-step explanations of all features, controls, and menus of the camera, and explains why various features would be used.
In addition to describing the basic operations of the camera, the book introduces topics such as infrared photography and street photography. It also discusses accessories for the camera. The book has a full table of contents and an eleven-page index. Besides the paperback edition, the guide is available in a PDF version that can be downloaded immediately. If you want to check out the book before deciding whether to purchase it, please see this Excerpt from Lumix LX3 Book. For detailed purchasing information, please see below.
At the Panasonic web site, you can download the update to firmware version 2.2 or the official instruction manual.
I noticed that the official Panasonic manual for the LX7 is incomplete for cropping. Page 176 of the PDF introduces cropping, then skips vital steps before moving on to how to complete the cropping. I plan to purchase the White LX7 Manual.
