As of today, the Kindle version of Photographer’s Guide to the Leica D-Lux 5 is available from Amazon.com in Kindle format. It has been available since December 2010 in paperback and PDF versions. If you would like to order the Kindle version, you can visit the D-Lux 5 information page on this site, or use the following link on Amazon:

The newest book to be published by White Knight Press will be Photographer’s Guide to the Canon PowerShot S95, which I hope to have published by mid-April of this year. Right now, I have a complete draft of the book, and I need help from some users of that camera who would be willing to read through the draft and offer any suggestions for improvement — such as pointing out technical errors about the camera’s controls, or suggesting additional topics or points that would be helpful to readers of the final book. I will send a free copy of the final book in PDF format to anyone who provides comments at this stage. (I can provide a paperback copy instead, to anyone who can’t make use of the PDF.) If you are willing and able to provide comments by March 27, please send me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks to anyone who can help!
Today I received the Kindle file from the service that converts my books to digital formats. I have already uploaded it to Amazon, so the Leica D-Lux 5 book should be appearing for the Kindle in the near future, probably within a few days. At first, you may have to search for it separately as a Kindle book, because I have found that Amazon does not always link the Kindle edition to the printed version automatically; there’s a good chance I will have to contact them and ask them to link the two editions. So, if you’re interested in getting a Kindle version of this book, please check at Amazon by early next week, and see if it is available.
I’m also trying to get the book ready for the Apple iPad, though I have run into a technical snag in that area, so it could take a bit longer to get the iPad version published. I’ll provide updates here as more information becomes available.
As of today, I am making 3D glasses available to any reader of the White Knight Press books who would like one, for a payment of $1.00 in U.S. currency by PayPal. That amount includes the paper glasses and shipping to anywhere in the world. The two most recent books, about the Panasonic Lumix LX5 and the Leica D-Lux 5, have 3d images in them, and I expect future books to have one or more 3D images also. To request a pair of the glasses, pictured above, please use this button:
I haven’t posted anything in a while, largely because I’ve been busy working on new books. I am still working on an early draft of a book about the Canon PowerShot S95, an excellent and very small compact camera. Some people compare it to the Panasonic Lumix LX5 and the Leica D-Lux 5, the subjects of my two most current books, so this seemed like a natural subject for the next book.
As for the existing books, the Leica D-Lux 5 guide will be coming out for Amazon’s Kindle soon, I hope within the next two weeks, as soon as the conversion process is finished. That book is now available in printed form from Amazon and other online sellers, and in PDF form through this site. I hope to make it available through the Apple iBooks Store in the near future also. Here is a link for more information about the Leica D-Lux 5 book.
The Panasonic Lumix LX5 book also is still available in paperback, as well as for the Kindle, iBooks, and in PDF format through this site. Here is a link for more information about the Panasonic Lumix LX5 book.
