As I’ve mentioned a few times before, it seems to take quite a while for print-on-demand books like mine, which originate in the United States, to become fully available at Amazon’s site in the United Kingdom, amazon.co.uk. The book about the Leica D-Lux 5 camera is a case in point. It was published in the first half of December, but until now it has been listed as “unavailable” from Amazon in the UK, though I and a few other sellers have been selling it there as third-party sellers. Now, today, it looks as if the D-Lux 5 book will soon be available directly from Amazon in the UK. Today the book was listed there as “Temporarily Unavailable,” but the listing says that you can order the book, and Amazon will ship it when it’s available. That is progress, though I imagine it could take a while for your order to ship. The other books, including the Panasonic Lumix LX5 book, have recently been available for direct shipping, including overnight shipping, and eventually I hope the D-Lux 5 book will be readily available in the same way. For now, I still have a few copies for sale, and so do some other third-party sellers.
